Our vision is to create a platform that makes AI less artificial and more intelligent. Thus, we are developing what we call the “Neuron Storage™” architecture, modeled after the intricacies and interconnectivity of the human brain.

Our Neuron Storage™ architecture is a hybrid Flash-AI™ storage hardware solution optimized to run AI application software. Built with up to 1.6 petabytes of flash storage, cipher, inference, SLAM, and LIDAR engines. Our hardware solution leverages proven AI technologies such as ResNet, TensorFlow, Pytorch, and YOLO to provide the ultimate AI hardware platform to power AI application software. This technology can be used to bolster cybersecurity, help design self-driving vehicles, control automated manufacturing, and numerous medical uses.

Our redundant multi-path design means scalability through the full AI life cycle. Interwoven redundancy ensures the system is protected against numerous nodal failures. Multiple RAID layers allow reconstruction of uncorrectable blocks and even entire Flash-AI™ carriers. Resilient, always up-and-running, hot-swappable architecture reduces maintenance costs and downtime. This patented tiered topology is the key to the resiliency of Neuron Storage™.

Deeply Human™ founders are pioneers in high-performance flash Solid State Drive (SSD) development, having founded Bitmicro as early as 1995—the first flash SSD manufacturer to seriously propose the use of flash memory to replace hard disk drives in enterprise storage and to demonstrate the world’s first hot-swap SCSI SSD for RAID in 2000. The former company specialized in ruggedized, combat-ready storage catering to US military contractors. Our Team is a diverse group of experts who all have hands-on experience in the technical development, marketing and sales of SSDs and related products. 

Our VOPINE™ SSD devices for industrial and military users come from our manufacturing partners who we work closely with to ensure the quality of our products are never compromised. Our industrial and military grade SSDs offer secure-erase features, are built with industrial grade parts, conformal coated for corrosion and harsh environment protection and go through lengthy and thorough environmental chamber testing at -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C).

Rey Bruce

Rey Bruce is an American entrepreneur, currently serving as Chairman and CEO of Deeply Human. In 1995 he co-founded BiTMICRO Networks, Inc., a multinational corporation and pioneer in the solid-state storage space and served as the Chairman and CEO from 2000 to 2013. That company specialized in ruggedized, combat-ready storage catering to US military contractors. Under Rey’s leadership, BiTMICRO grew to over 230 employees with expertise in ASIC, FPGA, firmware, hardware, and software.

Ricky Bruce

Ricky Bruce is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Deeply Human. He is responsible for defining the company’s core competencies and developing technology roadmaps. A trailblazer in Solid State Storage (SSD), Ricky co-founded BiTMICRO Networks, Inc. (BITMICRO) in 1995 and served in various capacities there over the years including Board Member, CTO, VP and Director of Engineering. He led the technical growth, development, and management of BiTMICRO’s more than 150 engineers and was responsible for the development of multiple SoC for three generations of NAND Based SSD Product lines. Ricky holds 8 patents based on this work.

Sharon Bruce


Sharon Bruce is a co-founder and President of Deeply Human. She also serves as President of Scout-About LLC, an engineering recruiting and consulting company. She is heavily experienced in project management, marketing, and technical roles.

Noeme Salazar


Noeme Salazar is a co-founder and Vice President of Software Development at Deeply Human. Her expertise is vital to shaping the software architecture of Neuron Storage. She is directly involved in the development of product architecture and technology roadmap, as well as the management of software, hardware, and chip development teams. Her R&D team developed three generations of SSD controllers along with the accompanying product hardware and software drivers.

Lawrence Salazar


Lawrence Salazar is a co-founder and Vice President of Hardware Development at Deeply Human. His expertise is vital to shaping the hardware architecture of Neuron Storage. He is responsible for strategic planning, engineering operations, business development, and personnel management. He is also heavily involved in the company’s IC design verification projects where he serves as a technical lead and mentor to less senior engineers. A seasoned ASIC engineer with over 20 years of relevant experience, Lawrence has provided significant contributions to the development of three generations of SSDs and SSD SoC’s.

Patrick Viernes


Patrick Viernes is an Advisor at Deeply Human™. He is a technology advisor, investor, and entrepreneur. Patrick is a Director at Amaxra, a premiere business management and technology solutions firm. He has 20+ years experience in the technology sector at Tech Entrepreneur and Microsoft, focused on software technology services, infrastructure development and international trade. Patrick holds a BS (Honors) in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University in 1995 and and MS Information Management fom the University of Washington in 2007.

Ken Yambing


Ken Yambing is an Advisor at Deeply Human™. He is the Co-founder of Sequoia Commercial Funding, a team of bridges and brokers with a consultative approach to funding your business and commercial real estate deals. Ken holds an Executive MBA degree from Quantic School of Business and Technology, Washington DC, and BS Economics degree from the United States Military Academy, West Point NY. He is a military veteran, trusted with 3 commands during his career.

Jocelyn H. Bruce, MD​


Jocelyn Bruce is an Advisor for Medical Applications at Deeply Human™. She holds a Medical Degree from the University of Santo Tomas School of Medicine (Manila, Philippines), residency training in Anatomic Pathology at the Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital in Ohio, clinical training in Neurology and Neuropathology Fellowship training with subspecialty in Electron Microscopy at the Cleveland Clinic. She has extensive experience as a Neuropathologist, Professor, Lecturer, Presenter and Editorial Reviewer. Jocelyn authored the medical textbook “Histopathologic Techniques” and has co-authored books on the subject of Pathology and Neurology.
